My arm taking shape..

It is fun, it is time consuming and difficult, but I love it! The ideas are popping up in my mind like popcorn in a hot pot. It is going to be a buzzy but great month until presentation!

Time for exsam!

Today I will start my exam project! Got the assignment a couple of weeks ago, but have had one last group project, and wanted to finnish that and some private issues before i really started.

The project has been in my mind for a long time, and I am really looking forward to getting it started! I will continue on my "The body as canvas" idea, and will do a full body plaster statue with drawings. There will be similarities in look from the leg I did earlier, but I will try out new techniques and expand the idea further. It will be built up by body parts, to symbolize a story (told through the drawings) slowly growing together to a whole. -Or maybe braking up?

Have found one artist that has done some body castings with drawings, and really love her work! Although pretty different from my own expression, the work of Joice DiBona, an American artist with her bace in Texas, is really an inspiration. Check out her tattoo sculptures. They are really worth a look! (All the below pictures are from her homepage; http://joycedibona.com/.)
