Bibian Blue

One of my favorite designer at the time is Spanish Bibian Blue and her beautiful corsets! Wish I could move to Barcelona and learn from her! Maybe an idea for my exchange semester in the third year? Dreaming about it is great anyway! Check out the webpage!

Just HAD to buy a corset by Bibian Blue at one of my new favorite stores in Oslo, Manillusion, who by the way soon will open their store no 2! Congrats! Looking forward to seeing the new shop!

My Bibian Blue Lovezip corset bought at Manillusion

Beautiful?! I do not have the bolero, but the corset fits me perfectly! Maybe I'll have to take a picture of me with it, just to show you how nice it looks...!

Project - Art, Body, Fashion

My ongoing project is supposed to be an exploration of the border between Art and Fashion. Is there any? I would say it is, but where the border is drawn should be up to your own mind and feelings.

I have chosen to work with tattooing in this project, and my product will be a tattooed leg, -as a sculpture. Presentation time is really closing up, and I really would like to have had more time on this one. Maybe I will work further on the project, as I really enjoy working with it.

I have really developed my drawing skills during this project, and since this was one of the reasons why I chose drawing for this project, I already feel some goals have been met.

Check out the pictures from the process so far, and wait for more when it is finished up!

Funkle - storytelling through textiles

We recently had an inspiring lecture held by Bente Jørgensen, one of the founders of Funkle, a Norwegian design team on their way up. She told the story of Funkle, a story about making dreams come true.

Funkle designs cushions, blankets and recently also added bed linen to their product line. Their slogan is "Storytelling through textiles", and every design has a story to tell, from stories of industrialization to the story of Adam and Eve... Part of the original idea was to get men to shop for interior soft furnishing, and with their masculine expression I think the goal is in sight. -But then again, what do I know, being a woman and all...

During the lecture she talked about what had gone their way, but also what traps to watch out for and how idealistic thoughts sometimes must be taken up to a second consideration to make sure the results is in line with the original purpose of the principles. Principles and idealism is not much worth if the result is not in consistence with the idea behind..

Listening to stories like Funkle's reminds me to reach for my dreams, cause I'm worth it! Thanks for a motivating and interesting lecture!
